Into the Blue: An ode to the glorious monsoons

Anyone who says that sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain” Truer words have not been spoken. We love everything about the monsoons- the earthy smell of the first showers, the soft rhythmic sound of the rain, the water cascading against the windows and our most favorite -dancing in the rain with child -like innocence! The season other than offering the perfect backdrop for hitting the snooze button or sipping on a steaming cuppa, also presented itself to us, as an invigorating mood board for décor ideas draped in the myriad hues of blue.

Rains, like most good things in life, should not be enjoyed alone! We’re thinking intimate lunch scenes with the family or a pot luck dinner with the friendly neighbours! Here’s where we also bring in our teal sideboard that will beautifully complement a dining space. That warm shade of blue along with the glass detailing, it just adds so much character to your dining area, whilst being an elegant piece to house all that fine serveware!

With infinite calmness, the beauty of the rains continued to pour in infinite inspiration for us, where we decided to raise a toast to the season, with a cocktail at our ‘Noor’ Bar. Here, we worked with a sky blue, floral motifs and openwork- you know, symbolising the abundance and beauty of Nature. So it’s rocking curl by the day, and the Noor Bar for the evenings, for us. Like we said, Life’s Good!

Everything aside, the one luxury that the rain warrants is getting under the covers and staying there. There is no better feeling in the world ( other than drinking coffee and being at our workshop!) than snuggling in bed on a rainy day. And not just any bed, it’s our custom made vintage bed. Replete with a chesterfield upholstered headboard in the shade of the sky, it’s a constant reminder of our favourite season, all year long.
