It’s the time of the year, where we swap our jazz and blues playlist for ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Joy to the World’ and the ever popular ‘Jingle All the Way’. Where we’d sip on egg nogs and savour those delish rum cakes, yule logs and pies. Christmas isn’t just a day, it’s a feeling- warm, fuzzy and brimming with joy! The joy of sharing, the joy of giving, and most of all- the joy of getting together with our loved ones to decorate a Xmas Tree!
Just like everyone else, we too look forward to this time of the year, play Secret Santa, build a Christmas Tree and decorate it, whilst singing our favourite carols. However, we like to do it a bit differently. You’d wonder how? First off, we build our Christmas tree – yes- you read it, we ‘build’ it. We use the scrap wood from our workshop and literally build our tree! Yup, it’s an authentic recycled tree! No wastage and no use of plastic and its sustainable. We use it year after year. 😊
That’s not all- yes, this gets better, and we’re almost smiling with pride as we write this- we make our own wooden ornaments too! Again, made from wooden scrap, we make the cutest shapes imaginable- snowman, penguins, bells, birds, hearts, tree, star, angels and more. Oh what fun it is to decorate this tree! Yes it’s not green in colour, but it certainly is green in constitution!
Taking this initiative, a step ahead, this year we collaborated with our friends at The Bombay Canteen, as we decorated their gorgeous Christmas Tree with our wooden ornaments. And, for you lovely peeps, the ornaments are available for Sale at the restaurant. So, If you haven’t already, we’d recommend you head over to The Bombay Canteen and over a sumptuous meal, pick your favourite wooden decorations to add to the charm of your Xmas tree! In the spirit of giving, lets together give back to our environment and opt for more eco- friendly and ethically made trees and decorations!
